Started off designing shoes in 5th grade with a friend. Always wanted to create my own brand so I could be fly because I never could afford nice clothes as a kid. Always believed in the law of attraction and the power of manifestation through actionable steps, sheer will, consistency, persistence, determination, & execution that anything can be done. I always truly believed that and I noticed that people say they believe that but they really don’t. And one of my favorite rap artist had a minister speaking on the intro and outro of a song and that sermon spoke to everything I was going through and everything I believe in. He said that some people won’t understand your vision because it’s not for them to understand your an uncommon breed. That resonated with me it became my favorite song by Jeezy and that “uncommon breed” title that minister farakhan quoted was something that I lived already everyday.‘I embodied what he referred to as the uncommon breed. Years later and before I started my brand i got uncommon breed tattooed over my hands. Family members told me it wasn’t so smart but I always knew that my tattoos could never limit my value because my mind and my skillset outweighs my appearance on any sale. And that mindset alone is what is what it is to be an uncommon breed. Just saying all this to say that uncommon breed was always and still is more than a clothing brand. It’s a certain avatar, it’s a way of life, it’s a moral code that a small percent of us live by. Later down the line when I finally got the motivation to move further towards starting my brand that I always wanted to start i thought it was perfect to name it uncommon breed considering the history behind the title. I filed my llc and the rest was history.
